Duda website builder: what it is, what it costs and who should use it

Duda is a drag-and-drop site builder for agencies and freelancers who oversee client websites. Plans begin at $19 per month, billed annually, and the 14-day trial does not require a credit card.

One account can cover multiple sites: higher tiers include client accounts, team seats and white label branding, and all plans include at least one published site project. Annual plans begin at $19 a month.

If you are one person creating one basic site, Duda is likely more than you need. If you manage sites for multiple clients, it is worth a closer look.

What Duda is and who it is for

Duda is a hosted site builder that requires no coding. You design in a browser, while Duda hosts the site and takes care of the technical work. Its security page says the platform runs on AWS and provides automatic SSL certificates, DDoS mitigation, backups and encryption.

The product is built around an account with several sites. This setup works well for an agency, since one login can hold many client projects. A solo business owner pays for this setup but might never use it.

Duda pricing: account plans and add-ons

Prices below come from Duda's official pricing page as seen from the United States on 4 November 2026. Annual prices are monthly equivalents charged upfront for the year. Check Duda's pricing page before you buy.

PlanMonthly billingAnnual billingCore projects includedTeam seats
Basic$25 a month$19 a month ($228 a year)1No team workspace listed
Team$39 a month$29 a month ($348 a year)13
Agency$69 a month$52 a month ($624 a year)46
White Label$199 a month$149 a month ($1,788 a year)46

A Custom plan is also available with tailored terms. The free trial runs for 14 days, includes access to White Label plan features and requires no credit card or commitment.

Here, a "project" means a published site. Duda's Business Plans page shows the project tiers: Core is free for the projects included in your account plan, Standard costs $8 a month ($7 billed annually), Advanced costs $22 ($20 annually) and Elite costs $52 ($45 annually). Eligible annual accounts can add Core plans starting at $14 a month.

  • Standard: accommodates 100 products and has 0% Duda transaction fees.
  • Advanced: accommodates 1,000 products and adds automated shipping and tax, digital products and subscriptions.
  • Elite: accommodates 20,000 products and comes with the Advanced features.

Payment gateways include Stripe, PayPal, Square, Authorize.Net and Mollie. Gateway fees may still apply. Duda also offers an AI Visibility add-on starting at $19 a month, covered below.

Main features

Editor and templates

You use a visual editor and begin with a template. Duda says its library includes over 100 templates, but the gallery does not show a current total, so check it for the latest number.

Duda Vibe and AI tools

Duda Vibe is a conversational AI tool that creates websites, web apps and business tools based on your instructions. It is included with every Duda plan. AI use consumes plan credits, and self-service plans include 150 monthly AI credits. Publishing may require paid project services.

The AI Widget Builder can also create widgets for individual sites on every plan. Agency and White Label also include account-level widget creation, with 3 account-level widgets.

Client management and team seats

Team, Agency and White Label list unlimited client accounts. The 100 client limit applies to site comments on those plans. Client accounts can reach only the sites assigned to them. Team members can have access across the account, controlled by permissions. See Duda's client management page for how roles work.

White label

White Label is the first self-service tier that lets you offer the platform with your own branding. You can add your logo and colors to the editor, dashboard, previews and platform emails, and use a custom domain. Your clients also get a self-service support portal without Duda branding. Full API access is listed with the Custom plan, not White Label. Agency and White Label include Standard MCP access instead.

Blogging

Duda offers blog layouts, tags, SEO metadata, no-index settings, RSS feeds and blog search. Its documented limits are 1,500 total posts and 300 posts per RSS import. The search widget checks post titles, not post text. Before planning a large archive, read the Duda blog documentation.

SEO tools and the AI Visibility add-on

Standard SEO tools are built in, including metadata, schema, image alt text, sitemaps and IndexNow. They cover the basics needed by every site.

The separate AI Visibility add-on tracks whether your brand appears in AI search answers, along with mentions, sentiment, competitors and prompts. It starts at $19 a month (Starter), then Growth at $39, Professional at $89 and Scale at $195 a month. The pricing page does not list annual rates for these tiers. Duda's homepage labels the $19 offer "SEO / AEO" while the detailed pricing calls it AI Visibility, so expect both names. For general SEO planning on a builder, see the Squarespace SEO guide, which covers steps that apply to most platforms.

Support, hosting and where Duda is limited

You can use the web support form at any time. Phone and live chat are offered only to Agency plans and above, Monday to Friday, 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific time. These plans also include screen-share support. In other words, "24/7 support" means the form, not every support channel.

Duda's security page lists 99.5% uptime, and a separate enterprise page lists 99.99%. Neither figure is a service agreement with credit terms that applies to every plan.

Editing on mobile happens in a mobile browser with fewer features. Duda lists Editor 2.0 as not supported on mobile and lists no general native builder app.

Third-party apps are available in the App Store, either free or with monthly or annual fees. Duda's developer documentation says the App Store API is not open to the public.

Cancellation and refunds

You can disable auto-renewal, and published sites continue to run until the end of the billing period you have paid for. Duda's terms state that most subscriptions are eligible for a full refund when canceled within 30 days of the original purchase, though some purchases are excluded. Canceling a site immediately does not refund the remainder of its current billing cycle. When you change a trial to a paid plan, the trial period counts toward the 30-day guarantee. Read the terms of service for the exceptions.

Who should choose Duda, and who should not

  • A good fit: agencies, freelancers and small teams that create and manage several client sites and want client accounts, team seats and branding together in one place.
  • Probably too much: single-person projects with one small site. Account plans begin at $19 a month, not including any project add-on needed for a store.
  • Check first: large blogs, given the post limits, and anyone who needs full API access, available in the Custom plan.

For a simpler starting point, compare it with what a website builder is and how the main ones differ, or check the Wix free plan if you want to create one site without paying upfront. For a step-by-step guide, read how to build a website without code. The safest way to try the editor before paying is to use the 14-day trial.

Frequently asked questions

Is Duda free?

No. Duda provides a 14-day free trial that includes White Label plan features and does not require a credit card, but it has no ongoing free plan. Paid account plans begin at $25 per month, or $19 per month billed annually.

Can I use Duda without coding?

Yes. You create pages with a visual editor, using a template or the Duda Vibe AI tool, then publish without writing code. Full API access is listed with the Custom plan only, for readers who want to go beyond the editor.

How does Duda compare to Wix?

Duda includes team seats, client accounts and white label branding, making it a good fit for people managing several sites. For a single site, compare plan prices and the trial with a builder like Wix. See this site’s Wix free plan guide for that part of the comparison.
